Delete your account

Last updated: October 30, 2026

This page explains how to delete your account in SingleHunt, the dating app made by SingleHunt, Inc., and what happens to your data when you do. You can delete your account in the app at any time, or ask us to delete it if you no longer have the app.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open SingleHunt and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Account Options.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Tap Delete forever to confirm. If you have unused date-credits, this box tells you that they will be lost.
  5. Under “Why are you leaving?”, pick any reasons and tap Delete my account, or tap Skip.

Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out. This cannot be undone. If you want to use SingleHunt again later, you will need to sign up again.

Ask us to delete your account without the app

If you can no longer open the app (for example, you uninstalled it or lost your phone), ask us to delete your account in either of these ways. Tell us the phone number on your account, so we can find it.

  • Email developer@singlehunt.com with the subject “Delete my SingleHunt account”.
  • Or send the request with our contact form:

To protect your account, we may ask you to confirm that it is yours before we delete it. We will tell you when it has been deleted.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we delete:

  • Your sign-in account and the phone number it uses;
  • Your profile: your photos, your intro, hobbies, occupation and the other things you wrote, and your MatchQuiz answers;
  • The result of your ID check that we stored (see our Privacy Policy, section 1);
  • Your matches and crosspaths, your location history and check-ins, and the positions recorded during first dates;
  • Your chats in the other members’ lists (a chat with you disappears from them) and your blocks;
  • Your date-credit records, and your unused date-credits: they are lost and are not paid out.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Payment records (the amount, its status and Stripe’s payment id): kept as long as we need them for accounting, tax, fraud prevention and disputes, without your name. Stripe, our payment processor, handles payment data under its own privacy policy.
  • Reports about you, made by other members or by our ID check: kept for two years after your account is deleted, to keep members safe and for legal reasons, then deleted. With them we keep only the first name, the phone number and the account id that were on your account.
  • The record of your agreement to texts: kept for 2 years after your account is deleted, as proof of your consent if a complaint or claim about our texts is made, then deleted. It holds only your account id, the phone number you agreed for, when you agreed, the wording, whether it was in the app or on the web, the IP address it came from, and any STOP or START you replied; not your name.
  • Reports you made about other members: kept as part of that member’s record, no longer linked to you.
  • Messages you sent in chats: they may stay in our database, no longer linked to your account, after the chat has disappeared from the other member’s list.
  • Support tickets and messages you sent us: kept for as long as needed to resolve them, no longer linked to your account.
  • Your answers to “Why are you leaving?”, if you gave any: kept without your name, phone number or account, with a few counts about the account (for example how old it was and how many matches it had).
  • Backups: copies may stay in encrypted backups for a limited time before they are purged.

We may also keep information when the law requires it or to protect the safety of our members, as described in our Privacy Policy (sections 4 and 6).
