Terms of Service

Effective date: October 30, 2026

Welcome to SingleHunt and the Crosspath™ dating experience (the “Service”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and SingleHunt, Inc. (“SingleHunt,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and govern your access to and use of our mobile applications, websites, and related services. By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. By using SingleHunt, you represent and warrant that you (a) are at least 18, (b) are legally able to enter into a binding contract, (c) are not a convicted sex offender, (d) have not previously been suspended or removed from the Service, and (e) will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.

2. Your Account

Registration

To use most features you must create an account using a phone number and complete identity and profile verification steps as we may require from time to time. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.

Security

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential. Notify us promptly at developer@singlehunt.com of any unauthorized access.

One person, one account

You may not maintain more than one account, impersonate another person, or transfer your account to anyone else.

3. The Crosspath™ Experience

SingleHunt is a location-aware dating service that helps real people meet in real places. The Crosspath™ feature surfaces other members whose paths cross or have crossed yours in the physical world, subject to your privacy settings and granted permissions. Matching, chat, and related features are provided on an “as available” basis and may change over time.

4. User Content

You are solely responsible for the photos, text, audio, and other content you submit, post, or display through the Service (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant SingleHunt a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (e.g., format and resize), create derivative works of, display, and distribute your User Content for the limited purposes of operating, improving, and promoting the Service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm any other person;
  • Solicit money, sexual services, or commercial transactions from other members;
  • Post sexually explicit, hateful, violent, or otherwise unlawful content;
  • Post, send or ask for any sexual content involving a minor, or use the Service to contact, groom or exploit a minor in any way (see our Child Safety Standards);
  • Impersonate any person, misrepresent your age, or use AI-generated imagery without disclosure;
  • Upload viruses, scrape, reverse-engineer, or otherwise interfere with the Service;
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose, advertising, or recruitment without our prior written consent;
  • Violate any applicable law or third-party right.

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination, with or without notice, at our sole discretion. We check every profile photo automatically when it is uploaded, and refuse or remove a photo that is sexually explicit, graphically violent, or shows self-harm.

6. Safety & Real-World Meetings

SingleHunt does not conduct criminal background checks on its members. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members, both online and in person. Always meet in public places, tell a friend where you are going, and trust your instincts. If you ever feel unsafe, contact local authorities and report the incident to developer@singlehunt.com.

7. Purchases & Refunds

SingleHunt has no subscriptions. The only thing you pay for is a date-credit, for a first date or a drink. You pay in the app with Apple Pay or a card, and the payment is processed by Stripe, not by the Apple App Store or Google Play. The price is shown before you pay. Except where required by law, purchases are non-refundable: whatever comes back to you is a date-credit. What a first date or a drink costs, and what happens when a paid first date does not happen, is covered in Section 8.

8. First Dates and Drinks: Date-Credits, Card Holds, Calling Off and No-Shows

One price: a date-credit

You pay for one thing in SingleHunt: a date-credit, $15 each, or the price shown before you pay. When two members matched as a date plan a first date, each of them pays one date-credit. A drink proposed to someone at the same bar costs the person who proposes it one date-credit; the person who accepts pays nothing. You pay with Apple Pay or a card; the payment is processed by Stripe. A date-credit pays for the first date or the drink itself. It does not buy access to chat or to any other feature: your chat opens because the two of you met. Members matched as friends pay nothing for a meet-up.

Something to pay with: a date-credit or a hold on your card

To send a proposal (a first date or a drink), or to accept a first date, you need something to pay with: an unused date-credit, or a hold on your card that has not run out. If you have neither, we place a hold of $15 on your card. Your bank sets the amount aside and may show it as “pending”, but nothing is taken. One hold can back any number of waiting proposals; it is not tied to any one of them. A hold runs out after about 7 days (sooner if your bank says so). A hold that nothing can use any more is released, and nothing is charged.

When you are charged

  • A first date is set the moment both of you can pay. Each of you pays with an unused date-credit first; otherwise your hold that runs out soonest is charged. Nothing is charged before then.
  • If one of you has nothing to pay with when the date is accepted, the date waits as payment pending and the app asks that person to pay $15. It does not end by itself; either of you may call it off, and then nothing is charged. If its time has passed (or is less than 24 hours away) by the time both have paid, it moves to the next time that fits you both, and you are told.
  • If several of your dates are waiting for your payment, your next date-credit or hold goes to the first of them that can be set.
  • A drink is paid when the other person accepts it, with your unused date-credit or your hold. If you have nothing to pay with then, the app asks you to pay $15. A drink not paid for by the end of that night (4 AM) is dropped, and nothing is owed.
  • A waiting first-date proposal ends 7 days after it was sent, and a drink proposal by the bar’s rules; nothing is charged for a proposal that ends unanswered, declined or cancelled.
  • A hold that was charged but that no date or drink used becomes an unused date-credit of yours.

No cash refunds: date-credits instead

Purchase is non-refundable, and refunds are returned fully in the form of in-app credit, in the event of an unsuccessful date. Except where required by law, we do not return money to your card: whatever comes back to you is a date-credit, as set out below.

  • A date-credit can be used only to pay for a future first date or drink in SingleHunt.
  • Date-credits have no cash value, cannot be paid out, and cannot be transferred, sold or given to another member. SingleHunt may, at its own discretion, refund a payment to your card; one unused date-credit is then removed from your account.
  • Date-credits do not expire.
  • Date-credits are lost when you delete your account. The delete screen tells you first.
  • A drink that was paid for gives nothing back.

Calling off a set first date

Either of you may call off a set first date before it starts.

  • 24 hours or more before the start: both of you get your date-credit back.
  • Less than 24 hours before the start: the person who calls it off gets nothing back. The other person gets their date-credit back.
  • Before a time is agreed (the time moved and you are still choosing one): either of you may call it off, and both get your date-credit back.
  • A first date called off while payment pending was never charged: nothing is taken and nothing is given back.

Who came, and no-shows

You count as having come to your first date only if SingleHunt saw you at the spot: open the SingleHunt app there, with location on (and precise location on, where your phone asks), during the check-in window from 30 minutes before the start to 90 minutes after it, within 100 meters of the spot. If you do not open the app at the spot, we cannot tell that you came.

  • One of you did not come: the person who did not come loses their date-credit. The person who came gets their date-credit back.
  • Neither of you came: both lose their date-credit.
  • Both of you came, but we could not confirm you met (your phones were never within 100 meters of each other at the same time): this is an unsuccessful date, and both get their date-credit back.

Unsuccessful dates

A first date is unsuccessful, and each of you gets your date-credit back, when: you both came but we could not confirm you met; it was called off before a time was agreed; the spot closed or was no longer offered after the date was set; a failure on SingleHunt’s side stopped the check-in from working; or one of you blocked the other after both had paid. If the other member’s account is deleted after both of you paid, you get your date-credit back.

Disagreeing with an outcome

If you think an outcome is wrong (for example, you came but were counted as a no-show), use Submit a ticket at the end of Profile in the app. If our systems flag your account for fraudulent activity, your account may be restricted.

Your location during a first date

During a first date’s check-in window the app records your position to tell who came and whether you met. We keep those positions for two years and then delete them; the other member never sees them. See section 3 of our Privacy Policy.

9. SMS Terms

When you sign in to SingleHunt, in the app or on the MatchQuiz web page, you agree to text messages once, by ticking the box beside these words: “SingleHunt uses your phone number to verify your account, to text you reminders about your first dates and drink proposals, and to send occasional offers from SingleHunt. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to stop. I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.” The box is unticked until you tick it, and ticking it is required to use SingleHunt. If you joined before the box existed, you are asked once, the next time you open the app. We record when you agreed, the wording you agreed to, whether it was in the app or on the web, the IP address it came from and the phone number it covered, and keep that record for 2 years after your account is deleted (see the Privacy Policy, section 6). See Text message consent.

By ticking the box you agree that SingleHunt may send SMS text messages to the phone number on your account: the verification and login codes you ask for, and reminders about the first dates and drink proposals you arrange in SingleHunt, for example that a drink is set and where to meet, with a link that opens the app, and occasional offers from SingleHunt itself.

SingleHunt SMS messages are used for account and service-related purposes and for occasional offers from SingleHunt. We do not use SMS messages to send third-party marketing or promotional messages without your separate consent.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message from SingleHunt. After you reply STOP, we may send you a one-time confirmation message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After that, you will no longer receive SMS messages from SingleHunt unless you opt in again by replying START.

For help, reply HELP to any SMS message from SingleHunt or contact us at developer@singlehunt.com.

You represent that the phone number you provide to SingleHunt is your own number and that you are authorized to receive SMS messages at that number. If you change or deactivate your phone number, you agree to update your account information promptly.

SMS consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Your consent to receive SMS messages from SingleHunt is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

10. Email Communications

By creating an account, providing your email address, or using SingleHunt, you agree that SingleHunt may send you emails related to your account and use of the service. These emails may include account verification, login or security alerts, account updates, match or activity notifications, support responses, policy updates, and other service-related communications.

Some emails are necessary to provide and secure the SingleHunt service, and you may not be able to opt out of essential account, security, legal, or transactional emails while your account remains active.

We may also send promotional or marketing emails about SingleHunt features, updates, offers, or events where permitted by law. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in those emails or by contacting us at developer@singlehunt.com. Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not stop essential account, security, legal, or transactional emails.

You are responsible for keeping your email address accurate and up to date. SingleHunt is not responsible for missed notices or account issues caused by an outdated or incorrect email address.

We do not sell, rent, or share your email opt-in consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from in-app settings. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, the rights and licenses granted to you will end, and Sections 4, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 will survive.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE CONDUCT OF ANY USER, THE ACCURACY OF PROFILES, OR THE OUTCOME OF ANY MATCH OR INTERACTION.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SINGLEHUNT AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) USD $100.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SingleHunt and its affiliates from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.

15. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules. You and SingleHunt each waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing developer@singlehunt.com.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email at least seven (7) days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
